Planning for IPM Symposium VTom’s Next Steps message
|
From an email sent by Tom Green to all volunteers, 10/29/03
Dear IPM Symposium volunteers:
October has flown by - here's a Halloween reminder on next steps:
please coordinate the first conf call for each committee, including making contact with all committee members, setting a date/time for the call and obtaining a toll-free call in number and password from Sue Ratcliffe. Volunteers and commitee assignments are listed at the bottom of this email. Volunteer coordinators are:
-- Site Selection Committee, Sue Ratcliffe
-- Media Committee, Sherry Glick
-- Posters Committee, Jennifer Vollmer
-- Operations/Web Site Committee, Jim Van Kirk
-- Exhibits/Finance Committee, Curt Petzoldt
-- Program Committee, Margaret Appleby (tentative assignment to be confirmed by Sue Ratcliffe)
-- Local Arrangements Committee, on hold until site selection underway
Charge for these first meetings will be to designate co-chairs, who will represent the committee on the steering committee and ensure representation on each monthly steering committee conference call. Additional agenda items:
-- opportunity for volunteers to pose any questions to be resolved by the committee or steering committee
-- identify additional volunteers to recruit as needed.
Please suggest any potential conflicting meeting schedules for late winter, early spring 2006 to Sue Ratcliffe at <mailto:sratclif@uiuc.edu>sratclif@uiuc.edu
Please refer any new recruits to Tom Green (<mailto:ipmworks@ipminstitute.org>ipmworks@ipminstitute.org) for addition to the contact list. We need recruits from public health IPM and non-governmental enviro/consumer advocacy.
First steering committee conference call, Friday, November 14, Noon Central. Call details to follow. Agenda items to include finalizing charges to each committee and international committee organization. Each committee is to designate a chair or co-chairs to take part in this call.
Best,
Tom
