Pest Management Strategic Plans Analysis

Recurring Themes

Simple counts of priority categories do not reflect all of the important information. There were a number of recurring specific priorities, listed below

  • General
    • Importance of workshops/training
    • Importance of up-to-date online and printed materials
  • Pesticide Related
    • Importance of IR-4
    • Lack of alternative chemistries
    • Desire for new communications -"online social networking"
    • Pre-harvest Interval (PHI) and reentry time issues for pesticides, especially on fruits and vegetables
    • New chemistries needed, especially for resistance management
    • Decrease time for registration of pesticides
